About the Role
Job Description – General Labourer
Atlas Outdoor Services is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as a General Labourer. This position involves assisting with a wide variety of outdoor tasks, including tree care and removals, lawn care, landscaping projects, and other property maintenance duties. You’ll work alongside experienced crew members to support seasonal and year-round operations, with opportunities to gain new skills and grow within the company.
Typical tasks include:
Assisting with tree trimming, removals, and debris cleanup
Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and general turf care.
Landscape installations and property grading
Hedge and shrub pruning, mulch and soil placement
General cleanup, hauling, and material handling
Compensation:
Hourly wage based upon experience ($18 to $25/hr range anticipated)
Paid training
Potential for performance-based bonuses
Future growth into supervisor and operations manager roles possible

Requirements
Physical fitness and stamina Ability to lift 50+ pounds (25kg), work outdoors in varying weather, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Teamwork and communication Work effectively with crew members and follow instructions from supervisors with a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn Open to training and instruction in safe use of landscaping tools, lawn care equipment, and tree care procedures.
Reliability and punctuality Consistently show up on time, ready to work, and maintain a strong work ethic.
Valid driver’s license (preferred) Ability to get to job sites reliably as public transportation can be limited; experience towing a trailer is a bonus; clean driver's abstract required to operate company vehicles.
Additional assets Certifications in First Aid, Fall Arrest, or equipment operation are a plus. Experience with lawn care or landscaping is a bonus but not required.
Work locations Our work day typically begins at our shop, located in SW Edmonton. Worksites are generally located in south and west Edmonton but may be located throughout the greater Edmonton region.
